The journal publishes original theoretical or applied research papers connected to the study of human settlements
Step one: editorial evaluation (2 weeks)
The submission is verified by the executive / managing editor. If the article is plagiarized, does not observe the author guidelines (after three rounds of corrections) or does not match one of the research topics of the journal, it will be rejected. The article will pass to the next stage if the reserves are eliminated and the author will be informed by e-mail.
Step two: peer reviewing (8 weeks)
The peer review process is double blind during this step. Article is reviewed by two external reviewers from a different institution and, if possible, country than the author. An anonymous copy of the article* will be provided to the reviewer. If the reviewers do not agree on the acceptance or rejection of the article, a third reviewer will be appointed to decide. After this evaluation, the article is either rejected or accepted with or without reserves. In the third case, it will be returned to the author for corrections. If the author does not address in full all suggestions or the evaluators are not satisfied with the corrections after three rounds, the article will be rejected.
Step three: Final formatting and publishing of the article (2 weeks)
During this stage, the authors will arrange the article in its final format and will fill a pledge form related to the originality of submissions and transfer the copyright.
The authors assume the full responsibility for the contents, correctness and originality of the submissions. The journal is not responsible for the faults of the authors.
